So I think we all have a lot of spare time over summer, care-free no exam time; perfect for binge watching a new TV show!! I have 2 faves that will be perfect for those pj days!
Parks And Recreation:
Oh my god, I literally can't recommend Parks And Rec enough!! It's such a fab show to binge watch because there's so many series and it's just so easy and nice to watch; no drama but good story lines.
It's basically based on an american Parks department, ran by Leslie Knope and it centres around her and her colleagues challenges when trying to build a park. That sounds boring but when you add in fab acting from Amy Poller, Chris Pratt, Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman it's just hilarious. It's a typical comedy but with a difference because of the office centred story line.
You start to really get involved with all the characters and there's some fab quotes.
Basically you'll just fall in love with them all and want to be in work environment like that. It's also perfect for summer because of the parks theme.
Summed up: Hilarious, friend based programme perfect for easy watching.
Gossip Girl:
So you might think gossip girl is one of those old, classic mean girls type programme and it kind of is but its so intriguing and it really grips you. You have to get past how old the first season is and get through it because it's so good.
You get really involved in all the dramas of the different characters and sometimes you can't help thinking it's all real and getting all emotional about it!!
It's over dramatised but it's perfect for summer because it's so gripping and long.
If you love a good, dramatic friendship story mixed with love triangles it's perfect but as well as that you have the setting of New York. I think New York just makes Gossip Girl amazing to watch. You just end up wanting to visit everywhere.
Summed Up: drama, romance and friendship for rich people in New York.
New Girl:
New Girl is kind of on the same level as Parks And Rec, they have a lot of similarities. They have that kind of indie theme and the same sense of humour.
It's based around a girl who moves into a loft with 3 men and their friendships and romance. It stars Zooey Deschanel, who is just my ultimate crush. She's so cute and I can really relate to her character Jess.
Then the men in the show are hilarious; Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris. They all have this on screen presence where you just know that they are real life friends and you can just imagine a lot of it being improv. I think the cast just all work so well together and the show has literally had me in tears from how funny it is.
Summed Up: Actual funny comedy about friendship and hints of romance.
Modern Family:
I feel like everyone loves Modern Family but I just had to mention it because its a fab show to have on in the background and just binge watch.
Its all based around one family and their interconnected relationships. You have the classic nuclear family with Claire and Phil, which centres around comedy and kids. Phil is probably one of my favourite fictional characters, he's just so funny to quote.
Then theres the extended family of Jay, the grandad, and his younger wife and kids.
Then the uncles, who have an adopted daughter.
I think it works really well to show family diversity and add comedy to those everyday arguments and situations that happen within a family. It's so relatable and just funny, with a mix of serious themes and issues.
Summed Up: Comedy centred around family and their Relationships.
How you enjoyed!
What shows are you binge watching?

I've seen so many adverts and people talking about New Girl. It honestly looks so funny and obviously Zooey Deschanel is a massive plus! It may have to be my next series to binge watch.
